The Hand

The Hand of Deliverance is:

The Hand that delivers the Faithful from devilish desolators.

It is the same hand that delivers destruction to the destroyers of the Faithful.

It is the same hand that delivers Favor to the eye of Faith.

It is the same hand that comforts the head of the dying Saint and delivers from this life to Eternal Life.

It is the same hand that delivers the unrepentant sinner from bodily death to the soul death that is eternal separation from God.

The Hand of Deliverance IS:

The Hand of Providence
The Hand of Safety
The Hand of Security
The Hand of Comfort
The Hand of Joy
The Hand of Hope
The Hand of Help
The Hand of Healing
The Hand of Peace
The Hand of Grace
The Hand of The Good Shepherd
The Hand of The Savior
The Hand of The Redeemer
The Hand of Our Friend
The Hand of The Eternal God - The Light of The World!

In The Heart Of Jesus

HAPPY

SABBATH!

For the past two days,‭ ‬the words,‭ “At‬ the Heart of Jesus/Why Should you be lonely/There's a full supply‭” ‬have been going through my thoughts constantly,‭ ‬and I have been humming the tune to those words at the strangest times.

To my mind,‭ ‬there was something that I needed to understand,‭ ‬remember,‭ ‬think of,‭ ‬hold onto,‭ ‬fix upon, and trust in the Lord for or about. But what?

Finally,‭ ‬just before the start of the Sabbath, I remembered that the first word of the song was IN the heart of Jesus, and I suddenly felt free. Some burden that I had been carrying, unconsciously? was gone, and so I had to go and find a traditional performance of this hymn, a much loved old favorite which seemed to have somehow been put on the back-burner of my life.

How was it possible for me to mistake an AT for an IN?

If I am AT the door of a venue for a performance - I am ONLOOKER.
If I am IN(side) the door of a venue for a performance - I am a PARTICIPANT! I am engaged!

Look at these words of the Master:

Revelation 3:20 King James Version (KJV)

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

This difference is significant, and speaks a great deal about us and our walk with Jesus.

As a young lady, this song, In the Heart of Jesus, had always touched me in the place of my need, whether I was sad, stressed, tired, lonely, feeling happy or unhappy, feeling loved or unloved, bewildered, feeling friendless and especially whenever/wherever I saw,  or heard something that impacted that part of me where the Love of God resided.

I am writing this, and I can feel my heart remembering and swelling, and tears are welling up.

There is something about this song that holds the gospel, that lights a path, comforts the heart, speaks peace, delivers truth, and says:

“So what about it? Don’t you know that He knows you?
“Don’t you believe that He truly loved you unto death?
“Won’t you trust Him in His faithfulness to deliver you?
“Won’t you cast your cares upon Him?
“Won’t you love Him back, and thereby go home to His rest?
“He is the God of All Hope. Accept Him!”

I get all that, and much more from this old hymn.

I invite you to prayerfully read the following words of the hymn and let the words speak to you, and then listen to a beautiful rendition of the same, and I pray that whatever the situation, and wherever your locale, that the comfort of the Holy Spirit may be yours. He is faithful!

1. In the heart of Jesus, there is love for you,
Love most pure and tender, love most deep and true;
Why should you be lonely, why for friendship sigh,
When the heart of Jesus has a full supply?

2. In the mind of Jesus there is thought for you,
Warm as summer sunshine, sweet as morning dew;
Why should you be fearful, why take anxious thought,
Since the mind of Jesus cares for those He bought?

3. In the field of Jesus there is work for you;
Such as even angels might rejoice to do;
Why stand idly sighing for some life-work grand,
While the field of Jesus seeks your reaping hand?

4. In the home of Jesus there’s a place for you;
Glorious, bright, and joyous, calm and peaceful, too;
Why then, like a wanderer, roam with weary pace,
If the home of Jesus holds for you a place?

Prayer To Be Kept From The Sin of Presumption

Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner.
Father, I come before You, and beseech You to keep me from
committing the sin of presumption.
Help me, Father, to always remember that there is not anything that I can do,
that I can do without You. Help me, also, to always keep before me
that it is because of You, that I have my being; that I am a child,
a sheep in Your pasture, and that I am to go, and be,
and do what You require of me.
Help me to daily seek Your will for my day and my way, and that I will, with
a humble and contrite heart, commit my stubborn will to Your leading.
Help me, also, to remember that though it seems to this finite mind that You are silent,
that You always answer the prayers of the faithful,
whether that answer is yes, no, wait, or Your Grace is sufficient for what
ever state, or estate, in which I may find myself. Father, help me to stand firm in the
faith of Jesus for, at times, the sufficiency of Your Grace
feels an awful lot like welcome to the pain.
Help me to understand, and accept, that
Your way is not mine, neither are Your thoughts mine,
and please give me the grace
that I desperately need to be steadfast and true to You
in the midst of my storms. And, Father, for those days
when I do get ahead of myself, whether in anxiety, fear or distress,
or sheer willfulness, I pray for Your mercy, and forgiveness,
and plead to be strengthened along the treacherous pathway that is this life.
Through it all, Father, I offer You my prayers, my praise, and my worship,
in the blessed name of Jesus Christ, the King, and ask in faith that
You will bless me, Lord,
so that I may bless another out of Your bounteous hand of provision.
I love You, Lord, and I thank You for hearing and answering my prayer.
AMEN.

The Old Saint

The Old Saint

The Old Saint sat down by her bedside
The old chair fit her body like a glove
The old Bible in her hand was worn smoothly
The old words on her warm heart still moved

Those old words in the Book became new each morning
The Old Saint's old faith became renewed
The old Bible's old treasures just glistened
For new life is contained inside them

Each line on the old face told a story
Each line on the old hand told a chore
Each line around old eyes spoke of a vision
Every line spoke that story of old

Old religion, old faith, old mercy
Old peace, old love, old grace
Old Jesus, old cross, old resurrection
For new life everlasting is the goal

The Old Saint's old body will be new soon
Her old faith had seen new mercy every day
Her old faith unshaken, she'll see the new city
That city called by all Jerusalem

The Old Saint had said her old prayer for 40 years now
It comforted her to talk to Him each and everyday
She felt prepared for battle, and emboldened
For her Lord will be coming any day

Heavenly Father:
Keep this old heart faithful to the end, please!
Keep these old eyes trained by faith on my Jesus
The same one Old Satan denied, and then tried.
Oh, Lord, no matter the pain
No matter the change or sacrifice
Keep me faithful, for I want my prize
Just give me any old mansion in the skies.
My heart is content
My body may be bent
But my faith in my Jesus I won't relent.
My spirit feels young
To Jesus I belong
Bless me, save me, e'er long
I love you, Lord, will forever be my song.

AMEN

Prayer for Comfort and Strength with Promises

Oh, Thou who hearest every heartfelt prayer, have mercy on us, Your children.

Father, all the signs are in the air that our days on this earth are fast coming to an end.
Everywhere, Father, we see and hear about our brothers and sisters who are being
hounded out of business, classified domestic terrorists and hate mongers for their
stand on Biblical morality, beaten, and even martyred for their faith
in the Lord, Christ. Have mercy.

Father, the Master told us not let anyone deceive us because there will be those who will
come in His name and will deceive those who have no love for, nor grounding
in the Holy Word, and we beseech You to help us, Father, to stick to
Your Revealed and Preserved Word, and to study and show ourselves approved,
to bury that Word deep in our hearts, to live its precepts, claim its promises,
and live Christ-like lives as those worthy of our recompense.

Father, the day seems very near when the laws of our lands will mark true believers
as enemies of our homelands, and the governments will withdraw their protection,
and will abandon us to mercies of those who desire our destruction, and we plead
for Your mercy on us as we pray for the protection and provision, care and comfort
You promised to us through the little time of Jacob's trouble.

Help us, Lord, to grab hold of the promise and wrestle valiantly in prayer with
He Who Is Faithful. Until then, help us to confess all our sins, whether by omission,
or commission, as Jacob did, so that we may be saved and blessed.

Father, in Isaiah 49, You promised not to forget any of us who have our hope in Jesus,
and we eagerly claim this blessed promise, for we are graven in the palms of His hands.

Father, in Zechariah 2, You promised that whoever touches us,
touch the apple of Your eye, and we, in child-like trust, faith and humility,
claim this promise for we are worthy by the Blood.

Father, have mercy on us, and upon those who are seeking Your Face and,
if there is just one more person that we can reach for Your Kingdom, help us to
seek out and minister to that searching soul as for a lost sheep.

Father, we beseech You to grant us strength to stand firm in the Faith, strength for
our journeying, courage for the way that we must travel, willingness to turn the other
cheek when abused and opposed, to keep a song in our hearts, and to have a soft
answer to turn away the wrath of our foes as we go on Your errands.

Bless us, and keep us in Your care this day, and always, for we love You, Lord,

AMEN
