We Are Humans Created In The Image

Likeness Of Almighty God

And 

We Have Been 
And 
Are Daily Blessed With The Precious Gift Of Faith 

Which Brings With It That Dearest Of Companions
Hope

Which, With Malice, Boldly Kills Fear 
Which Burdens Our Lives With Unbearable Care! 

The Hope Of Faith 
Gives To Every Heart The Capacity To Perform Feats Of Daring! 

It Gives Strength To The Sick And Suffering To Carry On! 

It Makes The Weak Heart Strong To Joyfully Sing In The Storm Of Life! 

It Makes Cloudy Eyesight Sharp! 

It Makes Timid People Brave 

And

It Urges The Child
- Desirous Of Getting Home To The Father's House -

Into The Fountain Filled With Blood In Pursuit Of Forgiveness 

And 

To Get Thoroughly Clean! 

We Cannot Be True Children Of God 
When We Deliberately Choose To Host The Pity Party 

Where The Feast
Is
Bread Of Despair 
Accompanied By A Vintage Bottle Of Whine! 

Beloved, 

From The Hand Of God To Us Hope Springs Eternal! 

Let No One Put Your Hope Out To Pasture 

Because In So Doing

You Shall Surely Be Courting The Spiritual Disaster! 

Strengthen The Weak Knees ...

Let Hope In Jesus Float Your Sinking Boat 

And 

Extinguish All The Fires Of Adversity In Your Life! 

Trust God! 

Be Confident In Christ! 

Rely On The Holy Spirit
And

Live With Hope!

Pity Party

I host a Pity Party

When things are going wrong

The guests who come are just like me

But they don’t stay very long.

Feeling Sorry for My Self and Oh Poor Me

Are always first to arrive

And by the time Misery comes along

The party’s really alive!

A few hours in their company

Make me feel worst than before

And so I can’t wait for them to leave

To reclaim the life I adore!

I realize there’s no reason to fret

My life is a lot better than most

I tell my “friends” thanks for their time
