Profit Ain't Profitable

It Costs Your Purchased-From-Sin Soul! 

Abraham And His Nephew, Lot, Were Both Believers! 

Abraham Chose To Stay In The Gift Of The Lord, Canaan

The Land Flowing With Milk And Honey

Where Blessings Abided And Abounded 

And 

Honest Labor Ended The Day In Peaceful Sleep 

As Rest For The Weary! 

Lot Chose To Be Led By The Lust Of His Eyes 

Toward The Pride Of Life 

Where Idleness

Fullness Of Bread 

And 

Abominable Sin 

Were Altogether The Way Of Life! 

Lot Leisurely Entered Sodom Aka Sin City, Rich 

In The Faith Of God 

And 

In The Abundance Of Worldly Goods! 

Lot Hurriedly Left Sodom With His Faith And His Life! 

Being Rich Doesn't Make You Blessed 

And 

Being Poor Doesn't Make You Cursed! 

Beloved, 

Let Us This Day Choose To Remain 

Within The Boundaries Of The Goodly Land

The Blessed Land Of Almighty God

Even Though It Appears Devoid Of The Noise, Activity 

And 

Fun 

And 

Frolic Of Worldly Prosperity 

Because 

It Is Also Free From All That Defiles Us

Body, Mind And Spirit! 

Almighty God's People Are Rich In Faith 

And 

Blessed With Grace And Mercy 

So Let's Stay Where We Will Be Blessed Of The Lord!

There Is No Do-Over

So Dare, Today, To Life For Jesus Christ The Lord!

Who lived in Sodom
Among a Disgraceful and Shameless Lot!

Young and Old in That Congregation
Behaved Like Alley Cats
Willing and
Able and
Ready to Break Back!

They Made a Mistake Terrible
On One Fateful Day!
Lot Had Blessed Guests that
He would not let His City Hosts
Violate and Share!

This Turn Of Events
Did Not Sit Well
With Those Licentious Folks
Who Evilly Promised Lot that
That he was going to get his
Back Broke!

Lot had a Gran'daddy
Whose Name was Old Noe
Who, by his Obedience
Condemned Man to no more Sin Sow!

Noe was a Preacher 
Whose one Sermon lasted 120 years
But, as Sin would have it
It fell on Willful Sinners' Deaf Ears!

Marrying The Women
Giving Themselves in Marriage
To Men Like Themselves
They took Repentance Off The Heavenly Table
By telling God what to do to Himself!

Yes, those Cretans did that
Those Made in The Image of God
Who Decided by their Own Actions
That Satan was their god!

They Defiled their Creator
By taking into Themselves
The Fruits of their Wayward Lusts
And Worshiping the god on The Shelf!

They Drank and Cavorted
They Murdered in Spades
They Cursed with Impunity
And Praised Satan in Unity!

If it Felt Good - it was Done
If it Defiled - it was the New Style
If it Dishonored - it was Lauded
The More Heinous The Practice
The More it was Applauded!

Well ...

Like Life
And All Good Stories
Actions Have Consequence
And Punishment
With Finality
Was The End Of Those Who Chose
A Willful Life Of Grossest Depravity!

The Compatriots Of Noe
Told Old Noe "No!"
They Laughed
They Cavorted
And At His Excessively Long Sermon
They Boisterously Snorted!

Noe Called And He Preached
He Finally Did The Ark Of Safety Complete
And Soon
Animals Started Appearing
And Ultimately
The Good God
Closed The Door - BANGGG SHUTTT!!

And Soon ...
Damnation Fell Down
Came Up
And Destroyed All Who Chose
Not To The God Of Heaven
Look Up!

Likewise ...

In Lot's Hometown
Reformation
Was Not Considered A Way
And With The Removal Of Lot's Presence
Flying Damnation Held
Total Sway!

So ...

Let This Be A Lesson
To All Who Would In The Living God Believe!
Almighty God Does Not Play Games
And He Has No Tricks Up 
His Non-existent Sleeve!

The Eternal God States The Case Clear:
Do Good - Have No Fear
Set Aside Idols - Walk In My Way
Come Unto Me - Of Sin Be Penitent
Accept My Salvation And Live Righteous
And Not As A Recalcitrant!

The God Of All Graces Gives Good Gifts!
The All-Knowing God Always Says The Truth
And He Offers Blessings And Cursings
But
Your End Is Up To You!
