VESPERS AT THE END OF THE SABBATH: PRAYER: One Thing I Ask, Lord!

1 John 5:14 KJV

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

PRAYER:

Dear Father, 

In The Name Of The Lord Jesus, I Ask A Boon! Please Help Me In All Things To Make You My Default Position! Help Me To Ever Seek And Hold You In My Heart As My Back-To-Base, Ignoring The Taunts Of Those Who Call Me And My Brethren "Christians!" As A Pejorative, An Insult! You've Told Us That The Day Will Come When We, Your People, Will Be Without Earthly Support And I Beseech You To Keep Your Promise, Not That You Need To Be Asked Since You Are The Promise-Keeping God, But Because I Need To Touch Your Hand, Your Heart, By My Word Of Faith In You And Your Almighty Power! Lord, We Need You, I Need You, And I Am Not Ashamed To Say It Or For Others To Know It! Father, Others Have Stood Up And Have Counted Themselves Resolute, Committed, Faithful To False Gods Which Neither See, Hear, Speak, Walk, Hold, Help, Or Heal And So, Today, Right Now, As In The Wedding Ceremony, In The Covenant Vows Before The Company Of Witnesses, I Pledge You My Troth And With Your Assistance, I Choose To Keep Myself Unto You Alone, Without Reservation While This Life Shall Last By Your Holy Spirit, The Comforter Of Us All, Who Leads Us Into All Truth! Father, I Have No Other God Save You, The True And Living God! I Have No Help But You, My Refuge And My Strength! I Have No Home Save Yours, Beulah Land, The Beautiful City, The Home Of The Faithful, Where Peace Dwells! I Am So Glad That My Lord Jesus Loves Me And I Am Glad That He Called Me From The Darkness Of Death Through Sin And Into His Marvelous Light Where Life Everlasting Is The Home Of The Soul! Lord, Lift Me Up! Help Me To Be Like Jeremiah To Say That Your Call, Your Will For My Life, Is Like A Fire Shut Up In My Bones! Be It The Altar Of Sacrifice Or Drawing The Plow To Break Up The Fallow Ground By Telling The Good News To Those For Whom The Lord Christ Died, Help Me To Serve Faithfully And With Patient Endurance No Matter The Cost! Help Me To Live My Life Uttering The Call And Basking In The Lover Of My Soul With The Immortal Words "Jesus Saves!" Please Grant Me My Request For I Ask It In My Gift Of A Portion Of Jesus Christ's Faith Which Cannot Fail! I Love You With My Whole Heart And, With Thankfulness And Gratitude, I Bless Your Holy Name For All Your Blessings On Me And The Brethren, And All Who Shall Be The Ultimate Inheritors Of Christ's Free To All Salvation! AMEN!!!

I Am Grateful

My Soul Is Well Blessed

My Body Is Fed

And

In You

I Have Sweet Peace And Rest!

I Look All Around

I Hear A Bird's Call

I Am Touched By A Cool Breeze

And

I Feel The Rain As It Falls!

I Take The Living Word On My Tongue

And

It Pleasures My Taste

Filling My Heart Mightily

And

Pointing Me Away

From Sin And Disgrace!

Again, And Again

I Taste Of The Pleasure

That To The Willing Soul You Provide

And

I Am Satisfied

That In Obedience To Your Word

That I Will Live E'er In Christ's Faith I Die!

Father, 

Please Remember Your Children

Walking On The To-Zion Road

And

Bless Them To Hold Truth Dear

And

Never Setting It Down

For Perishable Gold!

Lift Up The Tired Feet

Hold Up The Weary Head

Comfort The Brokenhearted

And

Guard The Fallen Saint In The Dusty Bed!

Pity The Pariah

Strengthen The Resolve

Of

The Faithful Perceived Weak

And

Judge Between The Wicked And The Good

And

Humble The Proud

Who Trample On The Meek!

And, Lord, 

I Pray For A Boon

For Your People Today:

Please Keep Us Faithful

Fervently Prayerful

Vigilantly Watchful

Trustingly Waiting

And

Committedly Working

For The True Spiritual Prosperity

For

The Dark Night Of Distress Is Nigh Unto Us!

Please Harken Unto Our Hearts' Call

And 

Save Us - You Promised -

Into Your Eternal Kingdom

And

As Also Promised

May Christ Jesus Come Soon On The Cloud 

In The Manner That No Devil Can Counterfeit! 

We Longingly Ask All In That Worthy Name!
