The Deceitful Human Heart: Who Can Know It!?!

I Had Me A Real Problem

From Which I Could Not Hide!

A Problem, I Tell You, True

That With Me Always Did Abide!

My Problem Was My Evil Heart

Deceitful Above All Knowing

And

Desperately Wicked, I Can Avow

My Tattered Life Was Showing!

Of My Own Self

I Could Not My Heart Repair

Or Even To Tell You Truthfully

Its Wickedness Declare

Because

Deceit, Deceit, Deceit

It Is A Cheat

That Takes Great Pleasure

In Making Self Look Clean 
And 
Spruced-Up Neat!

I Was Tired, Oh, So, Tired

Of Living The Life Of Sin

Of Walking On A Path That

My Speech Was Surely Not Showing!

I Spoke Morning And Did Evening!

I Walked Evening And Spoke Night!

I Took Pleasure In Works Of Unrighteousness

And

That Landed Me With The Eternal God

In A Really Serious Fight Plight!

I Answered To His Name!

I Brought His Name Shame!

I Made Myself Ashamed

And

I Had No One To Blame

But

Me, Myself And I

And

My Deceitful Heart ... Inside!

Time To Revive!

Time To Reform!

To Be Made Alive!

Time For Me Never Ever Again

To The Ways Of This World Conform

But

How To Do It!?!

I Needed My Heart!

I Couldn't Just Pluck It Out!

Ahh, Yes!

I Needed The Creator!

The Justifier!

The Sanctifier!

The School Master!

The Word!

The Truth!

The Way Maker!

The One Merciful!

The One Offering Grace!

The One WHo Gives Forgiveness Asked!

The One Who Took My Place

On That Evil Cross!

But ...

Did I Dare Go And Ask!?!

Would He Turn Me Away!

Would He Say:

"Not Today!"

I Needed To Pray

A Real Prayer

And

Not One Of Those Self-Serving

Good-For-Nothing But Noise Prayers!

I Know What I Shall Do!

King David!

I Shall Have A Look At You

Who Sinned Against The Lord

The Lord, Alone

And

Who, When Corrected

Did Not Pass The Buck

Did Not Make Excuse

Did Not Turn Away

Did Not Play: 
I Do Not Know What To Say!

Create In Me A Clean Heart, Oh, God!

And Renew ...!

Yes!

Renew A Right Spirit ... Within Me!

Cast Me Not Away From Your Presence  ...!

I Know That I Deserve It!

But, Please, Dear Lord!

Help Me!

Make Me Clean!

Help Me To Turn Away From Sin And Sinning!

Help Me To Walk Right In Your Eyes!

Help Me To Stay On The Path To Salvation!

Help Me Not Look Back

Neither In My Mind

Nor Physically!

Help Me, Lord

To Live ... For You

Through You

So That I May

At The Appointed Time

Live With You!

That Was It!

Come Clean!

Tell The Truth!

Ask For Forgiveness!

Ask For Direction!

Walk According To The Direction!

Despise The Love Of The Lie!

Speak Truth In Righteousness!

Do Not The Holy God Defy!

Deny The Liar!

And

To The Eternal God

With Gladness Of Heart

Cry! Cry! Cry!

Did You Know That ...

There's A Land That's Fairer Than Day

In The Sweet By And By

For All Those Who Love

Trust, Honor, Worship
And

Depend Upon And Obey The Lord

Without Fear Or Failing!

I Have Made My Decision!
