Our God Almighty ... In Mercy Towards Us 

Provided Us With Our Only Savior, Jesus Christ The Lord Of Life 

- The Great Physician

The Shepherd Of Rest

Our Perfect Peace - 

Upon Whom We Have Every Reason To Call 

And

No Excuse For Not Calling His Name In Our Time Of Need 

Aka Every Moment Of Every Day! 

Dear Ones, 

If You Have Ever Heard A Person In A Doctor's Treatment Room 

Despairingly Crying In Pain From A Non-Life-Threatening Condition 

Utter The Words: 

"I Am So Tired!" 

And 

You Then Hear The Doctor Beseeching Them To Hold On

To Let Said Doctor Help Them

And 

To Permit The Doctor To Change Their Medication 

To Something That Will Surely Help Them 

To Be Comfortable At Home

You Will Truly Understand Our Wretched State 

When We Recognize Our Need Of Our Savior 

Because 

Of Our Sin! 

Remember This ...

In Our Agony

We Hear Our Great Physician Pleading With Us 

To Let Him Change Our Ways And Heal Our Hurts 

And

Trust Him To Feed Us The Medication Called Truth 

And Bind Up Our Wounds With The Balm Of Gilead

And Use The Good Food Called Faith 

To Believe Him On His Word To Bless Us To Walk Wisely

I Don't Know About You

But 

I Distinctly Remember That "Abomination" Called The Purge That 

We Had To Endure Every Sunday Morning

At The Beginning Of The School Term

And 

Coming Off School For Vacation 

And

May The Good Lord Help You 

If 

You Were "Foolish" Enough To Utter Those "Damning" Words: 

"My Belly Hurting Me!" 

Some Families Dished Out A Spoonful Of 

Shark Oil And A Quarter Of An Orange! 

My Family Dished Out Castor Oil And The Orange! 

A Leather Belt Was On The Table To Motivate Me To Cooperate: 

I Roundly Despised Castor Oil!

Strangely Enough Though

After That Disaster Called The Purge Aka The Cleansing

You No Longer Felt Like An Old Hard-Mout' Goat 

But 

Had The Joy And Energy Of A Young Spring Lamb! 

Oh, The Ode To Joy! 

Beloved, 

The Purge Is Needed 

To Get Rid Of What Hurts, Harms, And Hinders! 

The Purge Is Necessary For Physical, Spiritual

Emotional Health And Well-Being! 

If We Are Not Purged Of Our Sins, Our Dead Works, Here

We Will Never Enter The Joy Of The Lord Over There! 

Sin Is Waste 

So Let's Take The Good Word That Purges Aka Cleans Us

The Pain Is Temporary

Drawing One Into The Dragon's Dark Domain

His Long-Desired Gain! 

Greed Is A Grip Guaranteed 

To Grind The Glutton

Into Gruel

So That The Gainsayer Satan

Can Joyfully Flush Him Away!

While Minimizing What Our Savior Felt Cold Turkey

He Died The First

The Second Death 

To Give Each One Of Us Personally And Individually

The Blessed Gift Of His Everlasting Life!?! 

Pain ... Like Life And Death

Has A Subject And An Object! 

Pain Points To A Problem In You

Which Is A Problem For You

Which Must Be Fixed For You 

Or

In Your Behalf! 

Pain Is A Symptom Of Sin 

Which Corrupted, Corrupts, Mortal Life! 

A Life Of And In Sin Results In Death! 

Jesus Christ Conquered Death To Give Us Life!

Sure Salvation

Sufficient Grace

Where Pardon For Sin

Peace That Endureth 

Are Guaranteed By The Holy God! 

Cleansing Is In The Blood Of The True Master

That Callus Causes You To Walk Funny From Pointed Pain

A Soft Spot Develops Under It 

Which Becomes An Ulcer 

Which, Left Unattended, Will Jeopardize 

The Health Of Your Foot

Then Your Leg

Ultimately Your Life! 

A Callused Aka Hardened Heart
