VESPERS AT THE END OF THE SABBATH: You've Heard It Before!

KJV John 14:15

15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

There Was A Time When A Lil'  Person Could Go To A Big Shot 

And Say To That Person That 

Trust-Worthy Mr. So And So Sent Me To You For XYZ Job 

And Just Like That

Lil' Person Done Got Him Or Herself Hired! 

All Of This Was In The Day When A Verbal Recommendation 

Aka Authorized Name-Drop 

Meant That You Fulfilled The Requirements 

And 

Could Do The Designated Job! 

That Trust-Worthy One Was Putting Their Name On The Line 

Vouching For Your Character And Ability 

Whilst Telling The Big Shot That 

Their Word Was Bond 

And That 

Lil' Man Would Not Make Any Of Their Faces Ashamed! 

Beloved, 

Let's Take This Analogy To The Very Courts Of Heaven 

And 

See If We ... Committed Christians 

Do Not Need To Wheel And Come Again 

Because 

We Are A Bunch Of Bogus Believers! 

Hear Me Out! 

Think Cause And Effect! 

Do You Believe It Is Right And Fitting That 

We Should Eagerly Go To The Father 

In The Name Of The Son 

Letting Our Earnest Requests Be Made Known 

When We Are Nothing But Limping Liars 

When We Tell The Father That 

Jesus, His Only Begotten Son, Sent Us To Him 

Because 

We Fulfilled All Of The Requirements Aka Conditions 

When We Know For Certain Sure That 

John Chapter 14 Verse 15 Accuses Us!?! 

The Lord Jesus Said That If We Love Him

We Will Keep His Commandments! 

If We Are Honestly Keeping Christ's Commandments

Then Fittingly

We Will Not Be Insulting The Father

Calling Christ A Liar

And 

Denigrating Our Own Selves 

With Our Calculated And 

Stretched-Out Truth 

Known To Turn Corners! 

People, 

Unskilled Labor Can't Do Skilled-Man Work 

Or Get His Pay! 

Dear Ones, 

If We Expect To Reap All The Sweets 

Which Come Of Our Faithfulness 

And 

Cooperation With Christ 

By The Holy Spirit Of Truth Who Fits Us For Glory

We Must Class Up Our Act 

And

Refine Our Actions 

As We Free-Will Choose To Be 

Who We Say That We Are In Christ 

In The Presence Of Our Father In Heaven! 

Please Understand That 

Only So Many Insults Will Be Tolerated 

Before Hostilities Break Out! 

Act Froward Aka Non-Compliant, Unyielding, To Almighty God 

And 

He Will Act Froward Toward You And Me, Too! 

The Father Can Refuse To Accept Our Prayers! 

Heaven Turning To Brass Against Us Is A Thing In This Circumstance 

So Let Us With Contrite Hearts ... Prayerfully ... Take Heed!

With This Solidly Intact Reputation

You, Me, We Decide That We Are Going To Do Some "Things" 

And 

Get Away With Them 

Because

Well, The Reputation Speaks For Itself 

And 

Wrong-Doing Ain't Your Way

Until You Get Caught And Fuzzed Out Like A Cheap Carpet! 

Now Picture, If You Will

The Committed To Christ, Psalm-Singing, Tithe-Returning

Righteous Person 

Whose Once Stellar Reputation Gives Way To A Stink-Ball Of 

Almighty God Knows Me 

Because 

I'm His Person No Matter What I Do Self-Righteousness 

Which, Most Definitely, Is Not The Righteousness Of Our Lord Christ! 

Beloved, 

The Lord Does Not Stutter

Does Not Take Bribes

And 

Does Not Play Favorites! 

Good Is Good As Long As It Stays Good! 

Good Turned Bad 

And 

Relying On Yesterday's Good To Earn Tomorrow's Paycheck 

Is Not Going To Fly You To Glory! 

Remember The Old Adage ...

"Good, Better, Best

Never Let It Rest

Till The Good Is Better

And The Better Best!" 

Please Stay On The Path That Is Lit By The Living, Holy, Word Of Truth 

And 

Do Not Permit The Adversary Of Souls To Convince You That 

Receiving His Fool's Gold "Participation Trophy" 

Is 

As Good As Receiving The Crown Of Life From The Lord Of Life

The King Of Earth And Glory! 

Stay On The Son's Side Of Life 

And 

Be Enduringly Good To The End ... By Grace Through Unfailing Faith!
