A Prayer Inside Of A Prayer!

Dear Father In Heaven,
I Come To You Today
Burdened By A Spirit Troubled
By Sugary-Snack Prayers!

Father,
I Am Troubled By The Prayers That Say:

"Thank You, Lord, For The Blessing!"

As Though The Blessing Has No Name
And

The Giver Has No Part In My Rejoicing!

I Am Troubled, Lord
By The Form Of Prayer
Constant
Today
And

Every Day ...

"Thank You For The Roof Over My Head
For Health
For Strength
For Friends
For Family!"

Father,
I Am Thankful
For All These Things
But
Please Help Me To Think Deeply
For I Am Truly Thankful For Your Grace
So That I
- In My Praying -
Do Not Issue Just A Laundry List Of Wants
Nor
A Grocery List Of Needs

And

Mere-Form "Thank You's!"

I Desire My Gratitude To Shine Through!

I Desire My Great Love For You To Show!

I Desire, Lord
In All The Honesty
That A Wicked Human Heart Can Muster
To Be Able To Pray
To My Holy God
And

Truthfully Say:

Father,

Today

I Do Not Desire Anything

For Nor From The Corporeal Realm!

I Desire To Bless You, Lord

Upon My From Sleep Waking!

I Desire, Lord

To Give You Gifts

Never As Grand As You Give Men

But

I Desire To Gift You, Lord

With My Life

By The Exercise Of My Faith

And

My Walking Before You In Humility!

Added To That, Lord

Please Accept My Willingness

To Help Finish The Living Gospel Work

And

My Desire To Ease The Burden

Of A Brother Sister ... In Your Name

And

My Desire To Honor You, Father

By Daily, Willingly, Doing

All

That You Ask Me To Do!

Help Me Not To Think Of Costs

For, Therein

I Know I Will Be Lost!

Father,

I Know I Will Make Mistakes

And

I Also Know That You Are Just To Forgive My Sin

So I Am Beseeching You

To Help Me Ever To Come To You

Ever Unwilling To Hide

Ever Shielded From Pride

Ever Open To Correction

And

Ever Willing For You To Everlastingly Be My Guide!

Father,

I Look To The Great Day

When

I Shall Be What Jesus Christ Is

And

Beseech You, Loving Father

To Help Me To Give To You

All The Useless Things

In My Life

That Would Tend To My Damnation

And

I Ask You, Please

To Help Me, Please

Not To Despise

Your Gracious, Precious Gift To Me

Of My Soul's Eternal Salvation!

Father,

I Ask You To Bless Me

To Honor

Worship

Praise You

With My Willing Obedience

No Matter The Consequences!

Please Lead Me Gently ... Home

For I Know Of A Surety
