Do Not Listen to Satan!

I told you do not to listen to that Old Satan

He is not your friend, I believe is what I said!

He's just trying to take you away from Jesus

Any means, any method, using women and often other men!

Satan, he does not like us humans

He despises the very essence of common man

Because, to him, we have taken what should have been his

And given it to Jesus, the Christ, the Prince Immanuel!

Satan dislikes, e'en loathes, anything that our King loves

He proved that fact, in First Man's Eden home

He longs for the praise, and the worship, that belongs to

He who sits upon the Everlasting Throne!

Don't believe him, when he says, that he can give you

The desires, and even the very longings of your heart!

He tried that one once, oh, yes, with his Creator!

He only wants to get you to walk into the dark!

Take you a lesson, in survival, from our King Jesus

When he was tempted, of Old Satan, long ago!

Jesus said: It is written! Get thee behind me!

Worship God! Eating bread is not everything!

Please, do not let, old Satan, catch you off-guard

Be thou prepared – like Gideon's 300 men

Be alert, on your guard, listen, look out for danger

Trusting in Him whose word will always conquer sin!

Bless the Lord! Worship the King! Trust not in fables!

Trust not your eyes, your ears, nor the longings in your heart

Seek not the world, its dainties, nor its bounties

Look to your Lord, the King of Everything!

Read the Word, not cunning fables, don't listen to smooth words

Which are designed for the be-knighting of the soul

Don't give in to him – Satan wants only our soul death!

Give in to Jesus, the King of Everything!

Give your all to Jesus, the King of Everything!

The Old Saint

The Old Saint

The Old Saint sat down by her bedside

The old chair fit her body like a glove

The old Bible in her hand was worn smoothly

The old words on her warm heart still moved

Those old words in the Book became new each morning

The Old Saint's old faith became renewed

The old Bible's old treasures just glistened  

For new life is contained inside them

Each line on the old face told a story

Each line on the old hand told a chore

Each line around old eyes spoke of a vision

Every line spoke that story of old

Old religion, old faith, old mercy

Old peace, old love, old grace

Old Jesus, old cross, old resurrection

For new life everlasting is the goal

The Old Saint's old body will be new soon

Her old faith had seen new mercy every day

Her old faith unshaken, she'll see the new city

That city called by all Jerusalem

The Old Saint had said her old prayer for 40 years now

It comforted her to talk to Him each and everyday

She felt prepared for battle, and emboldened

For her Lord will be coming any day

Heavenly Father:

Keep this old heart faithful to the end, please!

Keep these old eyes trained by faith on my Jesus

The same one Old Satan denied, and then tried.

Oh, Lord, no matter the pain

No matter the change or sacrifice

Keep me faithful, for I want my prize

Just give me any old mansion in the skies.

My heart is content

My body may be bent

But my faith in my Jesus I won't relent.

My spirit feels young

To Jesus I belong

Bless me, save me, e'er long

I love you, Lord, will forever be my song.

BALAAM'S ASS REQUIRED

I wish I could be a Balaam's Ass

To some of these modern-day preachers

Who seem activated by a Balak spirit

Seeking to make God's people act like they're illiterate

By clothing, ritual, word and deed

These preachers seek to enrich themselves with speed

By putting great price to the teaching of the Word

Which does not edify and makes spirits curd

Plant a seed, buy an oil, purchase a miracle

Preacher man is begging, he needs a new toy

Congregations, they then come out to pray, and pay

Satan's advocates big money to be led astray

Cry shame! Oh, Lord, have mercy, come and defend

Your people who go church for a good word and to pray

To You, by the Spirit, in Jesus' name

Come, Thou, Dear Lord! Defend! Defend!

They teach for doctrine the commandments of men

They have willingly departed the faith

And sold their souls for a pot full of stew

Whilst giving up heaven's reward and refusing it to believers, too

One of these preachers I, myself, heard say

That the shepherd's prosperity has first to come into play

Since the shepherd leads the sheep, he should get his first

Because if he walked behind, all he'd get is some poo in the purse

(emphasis added!)

We warn you now, you apostate preacher

We are servants of the Galilean Teacher

Change your ways, amend, oh, root out

The behaviors that cause a dumb donkey to speak out!

Fear not, I tell you, believer in the Lord

Our God, the Almighty, He will supply a sword

To the angel who will cut them off if they don't turn back

And return to teaching, and preaching, the Lean Word – not fat!

First they took our money, then they stepped on the truth

Followed by our souls they seriously imperiled to boot

But, thankfully, some of us knew the dear Creator's voice

And that was enough to make our hearts rejoice

Our Lord had no mansions, no diamond cellular phones

No bodyguards, no choppers and definitely no cars

He preached the Message – it was UNDILUTED!

No color, no spin, and certainly it was not trimmed convoluted!

Sola Scriptura. The Word! The Word!

A “Doth saith the Lord!” should be heard, you cur!

Preach conscience, repentance, new birth, that sin's a stain

And only Blood can remove it, or on the soul it remains!

Oh, preacher, God forgives! So please repent!

Confess! He's faithful! Oh, won't you relent?

Confession and repentance are good for the soul

Give your burden for false riches to Jesus, He'll take it in control!

So, Dear Ones, I beseech you

Don't idly sit by

And let the preacher betray his calling

And lead you to die

Become Balaam's Ass

Open your mouth and speak

Stop swallowing the nonsense

That some of these preachers teach

Don't give up real gold

For this earth's deadly dross

That rusts, and gets stolen

Stop playing with the fluff!

Hold on to King Jesus

His Word – it will guide

To mansions on gold streets

Water of Life running by!

Read your Bible for your self

Compare text with text

Demand that your preacher

Preach in context even if he gets vexed!

Your gaining heavenly life depends

On your personal understanding

That Jesus is coming soon

He's even at the door

Prepare now – get ready!

Don't get a surprise when He shows!

Only those who are unprepared

Will be caught unawares

So put your spiritual house in order

So you won't be dismayed

My braying is over for now

Greetings, Dear Ones!

     As Christians, we all know that Jesus loves us, and that He is forever ready, willing, and able to save us.

     We also know that under the agency of the Holy Spirit He is calling us to life everlasting.

     But, have we ever really thought about all the things the Jesus Christ does for His children – and those who are seeking Him – each and every day of their lives?

     Well, if you haven't, I have put together an alphabet to help us all see and understand what our Lord does to, and for, and about us without fail.

     As our Creator, Deliverer, Friend, Redeemer, Savior, Sustainer, He KNOWS us, and IS everything to, and DOES everything for us. Let's endeavor to make Him FIRST in our lives.

     I pray that this effort will in some small way help us to “see” Him a little more clearly.

Prayer for Comfort and Strength with Promises

Oh, Thou who hearest every heartfelt prayer, have mercy on us, Your children.

Father, all the signs are in the air that our days on this earth are fast coming to an end.

Everywhere, Father, we see and hear about our brothers and sisters who are being 

hounded out of business, classified domestic terrorists and hate mongers for their 

stand on Biblical morality, beaten, and even martyred for their faith 

in the Lord, Christ. Have mercy.

Father, the Master told us not let anyone deceive us because there will be those who will 

come in His name and will deceive those who have no love for, nor grounding 

in the Holy Word, and we beseech You to help us, Father, to stick to 

Your Revealed and Preserved Word, and to study and show ourselves approved, 

to bury that Word deep in our hearts, to live its precepts, claim its promises, 

and live Christ-like lives as those worthy of our recompense. 

Father, the day seems very near when the laws of our lands will mark true believers 

as enemies of our homelands, and the governments will withdraw their protection, 

and will abandon us to mercies of those who desire our destruction, and we plead 

for Your mercy on us as we pray for the protection and provision, care and comfort 

You promised to us through the little time of Jacob's trouble. 

Help us, Lord, to grab hold of the promise and wrestle valiantly in prayer with 

He Who Is Faithful. Until then, help us to confess all our sins, whether by omission, 

or commission, as Jacob did, so that we may be saved and blessed.

Father, in Isaiah 49, You promised not to forget any of us who have our hope in Jesus, 

and we eagerly claim this blessed promise, for we are graven in the palms of His hands. 

Father, in Zechariah 2, You promised that whoever touches us, 

touch the apple of Your eye, and we, in child-like trust, faith and humility, 

claim this promise for we are worthy by the Blood.

Father, have mercy on us, and upon those who are seeking Your Face and,  

if there is just one more person that we can reach for Your Kingdom, help us to 

seek out and minister to that searching soul as for a lost sheep. 

Father, we beseech You to grant us strength to stand firm in the Faith, strength for 

our journeying, courage for the way that we must travel, willingness to turn the other 

cheek when abused and opposed, to keep a song in our hearts, and to have a soft 

answer to turn away the wrath of our foes as we go on Your errands.

Bless us, and keep us in Your care this day, and always, for we love You, Lord,

Because He Lives

I was enjoying singing a favorite song of mine, Because He Lives, when the following thought came to me. I used the testimony of verse one, and the chorus, of Because He Lives to write my inspiration. Please take a moment to think on it! BJ

God sent His Son

He didn't have to come!

They called Him Jesus

The miracle-worker!

He came to love, heal and forgive

He did it all for love for free!

He bled and died

That was HIS decision!

To buy my pardon

I can't pay Him back!

An empty grave is there to prove

He said it couldn't hold him!

My Savior lives!

He kept His promise to rise again!

I Serve A Risen Savior, so

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow

Blessed Assurance, Jesus IS Mine!

Because He lives, all fear is gone

Faith, Faith Is The Victory!

Because I know who holds the future

Glory, Glory, Hallelujah!

My life is worth the living just because He lives!

Jesus, My Lord, Will Love Me Forever!

God DOESN'T Change

God DOESN'T Change

The Lord is still on His throne

And the Truth is still the Truth

Don't let the skeptics sway you now

For Jesus is soon coming down – the signs are around you!

Some people they would have you believe

That our God IS rolling with the times

Don't trust their word I pray you

For they're just trying to sway you – from the Truth!

Malachi 3 verse 6 clearly says

“For I am the Lord, I change not; …”

So when someone you trust is telling you otherwise

You'll know that they're among the unwise – don't trust them!

Yesterday, today, forever and ever

Our God is always the same

No fits or starts with commands to amend

On His Sure Word you can always depend – believe it!

It's only those with personal agendas

And remits from that Dragon so foul

Who whistle in the wind, spit up in the air

And put truth-seekers on three-legged chairs – unclean spirits!

I beseech, I'll plead, I'll even beg you if I need

To make sure of what it is you believe

Take down the old Bible from off the top shelf

And read the Word's Words for yourself – they're trustworthy!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The Master warned us in Matthew 24:4 to ... “Take

heed that no man deceive you.” This was/is no idle warning as,

at this time of the end, many are changing, misinterpreting,

deleting, questioning, doubting and causing others to doubt

the Inspired Word, and even trying to force others

to deny the Lord Jesus Christ on penalty of death!

I implore you to know for your own self:

(1) in whom you believe;

(2) why you believe in this being;

(3) whether you can stand up and DEFEND your belief; and

(4) if you are willing to die for said belief!

We are living in perilous times, and soon we will all

have to face the “music” if we CHOOSE (and it is a choice)

to “STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS!”

I am asking each one of us to take the time to write

a sentence or paragraph or essay outlining

WHY we have our hope in Jesus Christ.

Are you able to say why?

YOU had better be sure for yourself because

neither the Bishop, Pastor, Preacher, Teacher, Guru,

Priest, Apostle, Guide, Companion,

nor the Prophet can answer for you!

Stand up for AND Hold on to King Jesus!

What Does it Profit a Man

This world has nothing to offer me

Except a lost sinner's unremarkable grave

For between life's start and the finish thereof

Is a few laughs that aren't even close to sincere

The prince of this world is a master of

Deception, wickedness and destruction

He offers toys and some so-called joys

And the assured loss of your election

What profit the world if your soul is lost

And Christ's promise of eternity forfeited

Think carefully, for the way is broad

That leads to sorrow and soul affliction

You can look forward to spills, and lots of cheap thrills

Dread disease, broken homes, and fear

Your toys then become terrors that bleach the soul

Until it's like dead bones in the valley of decision

That, my friend, is all that's left

When you seek after this world

With all its greed, and need for speed

That put you on the wrong side of heaven

Forgive me, but I will not walk with you

This world has nothing to offer me

I prefer the narrow path, hard though it be

That leads me to Christ for Eternity. **BJC**

Good Christian

I heard one day of Good Christian

And for a moment I couldn't understand

If over there Good Christian see

Then over yonder Bad Christian be.

Good Christian as we're sure to know

Is gentle, helpful, no worldly flow

Means then Bad Christian is likely

Suffering chronic, and putting on a hyper-show.

Good Christian is eager, approachable too

Bad Christian suffers lassitude and ingratitude, who knew?

Good Christian has fine morals he wears like a skin

Bad Christian – catch him offside – he swears at his kin!

Good Christian seeks to his wisdom share

Bad Christian shows knowledge with so great a flair

Good Christian exhibits a right kindly glow

Bad Christian never fears to tell who he knows.

I tell you all this so that you would know

Wherever the rabbit, the fox it will show!

Good Christian, Bad Christian, the wheat and the tare

Together, a-growing, same garden they share!

Our Bible tells us to watch the fruit

Because a bad tree never a good fruit seed

Bitter water cannot good water contain

And hot mout' will speak what cold heart enchain!

So when you see Christian Good and Bad

Look to Jesus, and then be glad

For Gentleness, goodness, and honesty, see right

In the mien of him who is following the Light! **BJC**

He's my Redeemer, too

I know He's Holy and true!

His Holy Angels surround

His Holy Spirit comforts me

Dear Lord! I'm heavenward bound!!

I cannot keep from shouting

I can't help singing His praise

I'm gonna give Him all the glory
