Jesus and Gin!

Jesus is Joy!
Gin is Sin!
Who will choose Jesus?
Who will come in
Out of the wilderness
In from the sea
Who will stand for Jesus
Forsaking what their eyes see?

Jesus - the Joy of Living
Gin - Satisfaction of Sin
Disparate leaders and followers
Some climbing high up
Some out on a brittle limb.

Jesus leads o’er the tumult
Gin benumbs the heart
Jesus lifts High To Glory
Gin lays you out in a refuse cart!

Joyous in Jesus
Peaceful slumbering
Sinful with Gin
A vat of crap falling in
Then Judgment Day dawning
The King all will see
The Joyous in Jesus
Unto Heaven filled with glee
But those pickled in Sin’s Gin
Scales fallen from their cloudy eyes
Will behold the Great Blessing
That Sin’s Gin 'n Lies did hide
That Heaven’s coming came
That Satan’s promises lame
Have cost them - the Sinful
The Saint’s bold and stout refrain:

Jesus the Joy

Loving hearts did employ

With work, wrestling, and walking

Showing Heaven was no ploy

Now that Time’s end has sounded

The Saved safe and firm grounded

Singing Praises to King Jesus

Are on to His Glorious Home bound!

Glory be to find the joy that Jesus Is!
Glory be to be saved by The Son!
Heaven is the abode Of God
Where we are welcomed Home! AMEN!

All you’re doing by your behavior

Is making King Jesus sad!

He died to bring you victory

He died to give you new life

Yet for all of His sacrifice

You’re out there living in vice!

Beloved, the time is a coming

When all receive a share

Of what ever they cultivated

And I pray you won’t fall into despair

When you see what you’ll be receiving

For listening to one who was so deceiving

As that serpent who had long been achieving

An army full of the unbelieving!

To those who have trusted on Jesus

To those who love the Great Lord

Bright mansions await the over-comers

Who won victory through Almighty God!

Repent, repent, unbeliever

Repent you mockers of the Word

Repent now, for the night is soon coming

When all will receive their just reward!

Jesus Christ alone is able

Over hell and death and the grave!

Where, Dear One, will you spend Eternity

I pray not out of the Eternal God’s light

I pray not in the lake burning with fire and brimstone

Prepared for Satan and the minions of the night!

Prayer: Father, I Know You ...

Father, I know You have a purpose

For me being here and alive

I ask You for the wisdom

To help me to live right, and to thrive!

Help me to strive for the Kingdom

Not for wealth, position, nor fame

Not knowledge, nor power, nor access

Except to the One who alone can save!

Help me not to give a hearing

To those who would make me feel small

For their lives are so petty and trivial

That making me sad would give them a ball!

Father, I am seeking for that City

The City that is built four-square

Where my God, the Lord of the Ages

Has for me a great banquet prepared!

I want to sing with the saints of all ages

I want to walk those streets of gold

I want to praise my God, Hallelujah

When my Jesus Christ I behold!
