VESPERS AT THE END OF THE SABBATH: Time And Chance!

Time Is A Precious Commodity
And
A Non-Renewable Resource!
It Flows In One Direction
And
Is Like A Water Course!

Time, Just Like Water, Finds Its Own Level:
The Lay Of The Land Determines The Waters' Flow
And
The Thoughts Of Our Minds Determine, Good Or Bad
How We Spend The Limited Funds
On Our Debit Card Called Time!

Chance Aka Opportunity
Is
A Thing, Once Missed, Which Can Never Be Recaptured!
Chance Is Like A Beautiful Sunset
Or A Snowflake
Neither Of Which Is Set To Be Repeated!

Beautiful Sunsets Will Be Seen Again
And
Snow-Flakes Will Fall Again
But
They Will Never Be Those Experienced
On The Day Called Yesterday!

Beloved,

Our Lord Has Given To Each Of Us
A Winding-Down Clock With Time Marked Off
In Increments Called Chance ... Opportunity
To Become As He Is
By Doing Good
Living With Love
Serving Others With Caring
And
Walking Wisely According To The Will Of God
So That When The Clock Silently Alarms
And
Forever Stops
That The Book Of The Deeds Of Your Lived Life
Will Bear The Eternal Mark:

"Sealed And Saved!
Well Done!"

Please Don't Waste Time
And
Lose Your Chances To Be Blessed
By Blessing Someone
In Jesus Christ's Dear Name Today
And
Every Day!

Peace!

Yesterday

Greetings, Dear Ones!

I pray that all is well with you and your loved ones!

How often have you found yourself wishing - like in your childhood games - for a "do-over?" Often? Seldom? Never?

Have you wished you could, and have then been glad you can't?

Well, today's poem, short and to the point, treats exactly to that issue! And while we are at it, let us not forget that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever! (Hebrews 13:8).

     Enjoy!

Yesterday

When I think of yesterday
There’s not much I can do,
But learn from any mistakes I’ve made
And see what better I can do!

And if yesterday has no regrets
Of things that can’t be undone
I gaze upon my triumphs
And tell myself: “Yes! Well done!”

Yes, I know thoughts of yesterday
All in all can go two ways
But thankfully in the Master’s Plan
I’ve a chance for a brand new day!

And since I can’t erase the past,
I will not dwell on it,
My yesterdays, though a part of me
Now dwell in eternity!

YESTERDAY is HISTORY!

TODAY is a GIFT!

TOMORROW is a MYSTERY!
